For determining the thermal conductivity of thin layers of
material. Consists of cylinderical slab of brass 11.5 cm. in
diameter and 12 mm thick. On this rests a 5 cm deep hollow
cylinder of the same diameter with intel and outlet tubes for
steam. Both the cylinders have redial holes for insertion of
thermometers. The meterial under test is placed between the two
cylinders. The apparatus is suspended by strings attached to the
lower cylinder. Without thermometers. |

with two pairs of 4 mm sockets connected to the platinum wire
and compensating leads. |
