51180 Mecahnical Oscillation Apparatus

The apparatus is extremely useful for understanding the topics of Mechanical Oscillation such as natural frequency, degree of coupling, damping , resonance and beats. The apparatus comprises of large pendulum with large adjustable mass coupled by an elastic cord to a flexible steel blade. In a light alloy coasting, four different position of location for the pendulum are provided to achieve four different degrees of coupling. The oscillator blade can be secured to the casting by a metal plate and two knurled screws.
To change the effective lenght of the pendulum, a large driving mass can be adjusted on the rod at the desired position by a thumb screw. For tuning, eight metal discs held on two screws can be secured at any position on the oscillator blade assembly.

51181 'g' By Free Fall Aparatus

This apparatus consist of two units. Each of the two units is mounted on a base to be clamped on 12 mm diameter report stand rod. Connections are made through 4 mm sockets.
The Solenoid unit in prompt release of the sphere on being disconnected.
The second unit i.e. the gate switch unit consists of hinged metal plate held against an adjustment, the plate falls promptly at the impact of the falling sphere.
