51159 Fortin's Barometers

With tube of about 5 to 6 mm bore. The English and Materic scales are graduated on nickle plated brass tube, projected by a glass sheath with verniers reading to 0.002 inch and 0.05 mm. The verniers are actuated by rack and pinion . The English scale reads from 25 to 32 inches while the Metric scale from 635 to 820 mm. The cistern is made of glass. The change in the level of mercury to touch the zero ivory point is effected by means of a thumb screw at the base. The whole assembly is mounted and thermometer. Supplied without mercury and wit-
